Mountain Research employs trained and certified personnel to provide Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) services for commercial, residential and institutional facilities.

Scientific data, in combination with accepted industry guidelines and professional opinion, provide accurate and comprehensive evaluations for a variety of interior conditions. Mountain Research provides professional services for determining IEQ conditions by utilizing state of the art evaluation techniques which include:

  • On-site visual inspections;

  • Ambient air monitoring;

  • Aggressive air sample collection and analysis;

  • Bulk material and surface sampling and analysis; and

  • Vapor intrusion testing using soil gas sampling canisters

In addition, Mountain Research can provide high quality air filtering systems to alleviate many “sick building” conditions.

Asbestos and Lead Based Paint Services

Mountain Research has certified professionals to complete asbestos and/or lead based paint surveys for any size project. During site visits, Mountain Research personnel collect suspect asbestos-containing materials and/or lead based paint materials for analysis. Upon completion of the laboratory analysis, a report of the findings is submitted to the client. If asbestos-containing or lead based paint materials are identified, a price quotation for abatement is provided for the client’s review and approval. Our staff have the following certifications in the state of PA:

  • Building Inspectors;

  • Project Designers; and

  • NIOSH Certified

  • CHMM – Certified Hazardous Materials Manager
